Theological Ponderings

Dear Reader,

My five-year-old asked me today, “Mama, when there is the new heavens and the new earth and the new seas and all that is in them, will there also be a new universe?” Initially I juts told her, yes, all creation would be renewed. But then I was thinking is it creation that fell with man and needs to be restored? Or is it just our earth? Of course the human writers of the Bible did not have our view of the universe and all that is in it so they don’t tell us how other planets not to mention other galaxies might fit into this. C.S. Lewis, in his science fiction series, had other planets with their own Adams and Eves and their own chances to fall or not. I haven’t actually looked up nay verses on this yet. It is more just at the pondering stage. What do you think?
