One Post to Share on Writing

Dear Reader,

I haven’t run across a ton of posts lately that I have wanted to share. It must be a slow month. I can’t imagine what people are doing with their time if not blogging.

But here is one post by Brandy at Afterthoughts on her take on the narrative stage of the progymnasmata, the classical writing curriculum on which we are also basing our writing assignments this year. Though she also modifies the curriculum, she is still much more structured than I am. She takes a week on an assignment, for instance, whereas we do it all in one sitting. But I love reading what others do, I am always looking for new ideas for the next writing assignment.

Does anyone know of any other sources on a Charlotte Mason-like approach to the progym? I’d love more input into what we are doing.
