This is a simple recipe and could be a one pot dinner if you add the vegetables. It relies upon Dreamfields low carb pasta to keep it as an S meal. This works well for most of us as I like my daughter with Type 1 Diabetes to eat Dreamfields any way. I do make another pot for my younger daughter who has reactions to wheat, dairy and soy with gluten-free pasta and without the soy sauce. If you want to or need to sue other pasta, you could substitute a lean ground meat like chicken or turkey for the beef and call it an E meal.
1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp basil
1 can tomato sauce
3 c water
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 box (13 oz) Dreamfields pasta
1. Brown meat in a large pot.
2. Add onion and garlic and cook until onion is clear.
3. Add tomato sauce, water, soy sauce and spices. Bring to a boil.
4. Add pasta and stir. Return to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for approx. 15 minutes until pasta is tender (don’t overcook).
